Cast brass or bronze sign in the shape of a coat of arms, with raised, bold sans-serif capitals “PLATZL” and a large, geometrically constructed numeral 5. The raised surfaces are polished to a golden shine, while the recessed background is darkly patinated and slightly porous; the lettering is complete and well preserved.
