Black geometric sans-serif in mixed upper and lower case with a strong, even stroke weight, a round o and a single-storey a, painted or stencilled directly onto white glazed tiles. The paint is worn away in places, cracked and patchy, especially in the lower lines, where individual letters have almost disappeared; beneath them a faint arrow.
